Do you have a mentor in your life?

If you study successful people you will find that typically they have one thing in common – a MENTOR. They understood the importance of having a mentor, a business coach, someone with more experience, someone who is already in a position in life that you desire to be in the future.

A good mentors to do list:

1.  To help define direction of your business

2.  To help choose right tools for developing your business

3.  To help predict the problems you are not aware of

4.  To help avoid many mistakes on your way to success

5.  To rely on for moral support in the time of weakness

6.  To receive honest feedback

A mentor will help guide you to the freeway when you start, preventing many mistakes that are typically made when starting on your own.  So don’t reinvent the wheel, avoid spinning your wheels, don’t miss the on ramp! You don’t need to figure out everything on your own. A mentor is not a friend, they will tell what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

The Leap From Truck Driver To  Home Business Owner

I was an owner / operator of a tractor-trailer. It was great driving my own semi and running my own business. I drove out of the city so there was none of the “city traffic” stress. It felt like going on a road trip adventure everyday! I really enjoyed meeting people and visiting different cities and towns every day.

Then as I was driving to my tuck, one morning, the unexpected happened and I would like to tell you it happened very fast. A semi hit my suburban head-on. I was in shock. The Suburban was totaled and I was off work for months with physiotherapy and numerous doctors’ appointments. I was told I was not allowed to lift anything, I was not allowed to drive, and I couldn’t even go grocery shopping or clean my own home! The stress of not being able to do much of anything was killing me with boredom! The physiotherapist finally told me there was nothing more they could do to help my body heal and I thankfully went back to work.

I soon realized my injuries were keeping me from doing my job the way I used to. My muscles refused to work the way they used to and sitting behind the wheel on my “road trips” was painful. It was then I started to realize that my days of driving were not going to last too much longer. I had to get back into physiotherapy and I had to give up my driving career and business.

As someone so apply said life takes you in directions you ought to have found for yourself.

And, somehow, after all that, I found my way into network marketing. But you know what the funny thing is? Today, in hindsight, I can totally see that where I am today is just where I naturally had to end up!

The discipline and focus I developed over the years as I studied, traveled and read… brought me here. By going through the ’school of hard knocks’ with my driving business, learning how to market myself and network with people…those things brought me here.
Where else can you “spread the wealth” like this and help improve the lives of countless other people…while in the process you don’t end up with less for yourself – you actually get more? What a concept!

I love this industry! I love it because it allows me to be a source of support and inspiration for others. I love it because it allows me to spend quality and quantity time with the people I care about and invest myself in the things that truly matter and I love it because it makes me wake up every morning with a smile on my face, excited about life and all its possibilities, and everything I’m going to accomplish.

How about you…are you ready to make an impact?
